Module 1:

Generational Issues

This module is about generational issues and starts with different perceptions in the conflict between the older and younger generation. It outlines, how dialogue on family values is helpful and how to develop your own strategy while dealing with the potential conflicts within the family. At the end of this module, you will see clearly the values you and your family may have with regard to investment decisions. And you will start defining your own vision and strategy to ensure a smooth generational transfer.

Module 2:

The BeeWyzer Method

In module 2 you will set up your own personal wealth balance sheet covering the 5 dimensions of wealth with the BeeWyzer Method. This is the base for all future planning and wealth structuring. The 5 dimensions of wealth cover your stake in the family business / or your own business activity if any, your private wealth outside any operational business, human capital (your own competencies) and social capital (your network), and your family capital covered as an opportunity cost in case of conflict. In addition, you will factor in liabilities and risks with potential impact on your wealth position and start cash-flow planning.

Module 3:

Personal Roadmap

Module 4:

Governance

This is about governance. You will understand the difference between corporate, family, and wealth governance and how important they are for the successful management of conflicts and the avoidance of unnecessary risks. Initially, you will check the status quo of your governance situation and spot potential room for improvement. This will get you into the detail of structuring relevant boards or committees and also help you to draft family governance and an investment policy to get it all right.

Module 5:

Strategy

In this module, you will learn how to do the necessary wealth structuring work. You will develop your individual strategic asset allocation. Furthermore, you will design some necessary legal structures for your wealth and learn the practical pros and cons of different formats, including the ‘make or buy’ question). In doing so we will introduce you to different approaches in the asset management industry like active vs passive management and others. We will give you a clear practical guideline, for decisions you will have to take.

Module 6:

Implementation

In module 6 we will apply all the preliminary work of the past modules to your personal situation and get to implementation. We will introduce you to possible ways how to best execute and implement your personal investment strategy, covering issues like tactical asset allocation, investment strategy and the organization of a family office and / or an investment committee. We will guide you through the decision-making process to choose the right investment managers and / or products and the necessary due diligence processes.

Module 7:

Sustainable Investing

You will learn about sustainable investing principles generally, and how to integrate them both into your family values and your wealth structure, from negative screening, and ESG integration to impact investing. You will discover state-of-the-art philanthropy and impact investing methods and understand the importance of all this for a successful and sustainable wealth transfer in the long term.

Module 8:

Controlling & Risk Management

investing is only one thing. Reporting and Controlling, risk management and measuring success are all similarly important for a professional wealth management approach. Taking the right decisions here and regularly reviewing your investment strategy will ensure that your wealth grows and is secured. Understand return and performance after risk and how to compare managers or products and evaluate their success.

Module 9:

Role Positioning

At the end of the journey module 9, you define the necessary competencies for your families’ wealth organization and how you want to manage them. You may hire people or pick service providers. Here you take the ultimate decision on how YOU want to get involved in the overall wealth management process – for your family or just for yourself. MEET YOUR COACHES

Your coaching team: Tessy Antony de Nassau will be your masterclass guide on this journey. Your wealth mentors are two experts that started BeeWyzer. Together they account for more than 50 years of experience in the financial services industry and in advising families of wealth - at banks, asset managers and family offices internationally.

After an impeccable educational journey Tessy Antony de Nassau decided to put theory into practice. She actively promotes a number of issues, including global health and women’s rights. She is passionate about pushing her different agendas to benefit the Sustainable Development Goals and has committed her time and energy to furthering the work of organisations in which she believes in. Moreover, she is actively committed to strengthening basic human rights for all and empowering young women and adolescent girls around the world. She got bestowed the Dame Grand Cross of Order of Adolphe of Nassau from HRH Grand Duc Henri of Luxembourg. Moreover, she received the Woman of the Decade award from the Women Economic Forum in January 2017, the Humanities medal for spreading humanistic ideas worldwide and the Global Empowerment Award for her work in Africa. She was named “Leader of the Year 2019” by the Leadership Academy in Luxembourg.

Peter Brock is particularly familiar with wealth structuring, real assets, private equity / venture capital and sustainable investment strategies. He holds the Certificate in Family Wealth Advising from the US institute FFI and is a former chartered accountant. He has worked for investment banks and for Ernst & Young.

He is also an expert in entrepreneurial direct investments from evaluation to transaction execution. This unique combination has made Peter the go-to person for small and mid-cap business owners, looking for advice in matters of wealth and succession planning including M&A transactions. He is currently involved in founding the Federal Initiative for Impact Investing in Germany. Other stations in his career include: Deloitte and WestLB in London and IMAP M&A Consultants. Peter speaks German and English.

Christian Stadermann has three decades of experience in the financial industry, in financial markets, private wealth and asset management. He is a Certified Financial Planner and has experience in risk management and controlling. He has worked in Germany and Switzerland and managed a family office of the Quandt family.

His prior experience includes the UHNWI business at Sal. Oppenheim and Credit Suisse in Zurich. Christian started his career in equity sales and private wealth, heading the International Private Banking Center of Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt. Serving clients in EMEIA, Asia and the Americas from affluent to UHNWI, he could gain a global view of the wealth industry. He is fluent in German, English, Italian and Spanish. Christian is a Certified Financial Planner and experienced with philanthropic foundations, heading the council of a German foundation for a long time himself.
